While tucking Gwen into bed tonight I was cracking up. She had taken blankets/material from throughout the house and had them hung along her toys, bed, bookshelf, etc. I asked her, "What have you been doing silly girl?"
"I've been playing fabric store."
"Fabric store? *chuckle* Why fabric store?"
"Because I like it. I even tried to be the cutting lady. I couldn't find my scissors, though. Probably because my rooms a mess.....

Don't worry mom. I only wanted my pretend ones."

Times like that it makes me glad I don't like taking her to a bar. Goes to show what your kids will learn to love vicariously through you as their parent. Pretty cool if you're decent at it. :)

Gwenistry: Art made by no one other than Gwen Nicole.

I have sooooo much artwork of hers its quite ridiculous. Storing it and and trying to save everything has become quite a challenge.

I keep telling myself, "oh, I'll get a box and store them all and love looking back at them later." Let's be realistic here people.... aint gonna happen. Right now they are all shoved nicely in a drawer- which now has become too full. I cannot bring myself to throw them away, so the box idea is something I'm sure will happen sooner than later. I hate to admit, but I know that the Gwen box will later become a collectible box and much less of a "show and remind" box.

Growing up, my mom had one for Kayla (my sister) and I, and she was pretty meticulous at documenting the dates/years on the wonderful work my sister and I created. I thought maybe I would try and follow in her footsteps,

but again people, I suck at documenting.

So, Gwenistry (and eventually some sort of Emery page when the time arises) has been created! Pictures people. That's one thing I am awesome about doing!

So, let's begin.

Quitting Facebook was supposed to make my life "easier".... "simpler."

Psh.... not if you're part of a gang squad called Mamarazzists.

It was such a gorgeous day out today! I would love it if Indiana could be like this year round!

I haven't been feeling the greatest over the past couple days, and I have not gotten out of the house all that much except for work and "had to do things." So, I decided it was time to go outside. It was too good not to. So, I grabbed the girls and threw them in the car. Best idea ever. I got to sit, they got to ride, and being outside with some Vitamin D definitely helped cure the cooped-up blues!

The girls were having such a good time! Emery loved being in the car and was talking and laughing the whole time. It was cracking me up! Gwen just loved cruising her around and kept yelling, "Mom watch!"

For anyone who has seen Gwen drive this car- she's a crazy lady. Throwing it in reverse, spinning it around, almost bumping into things.... just being a non-licensed four year old. She loves it. That was one of the best birthday gifts we could have gotten for her. Her and Emery were having a ball- and I was a nervous wreck. Haha.

That Mustang has some go-go power. Every time Gwen would accelerate, Emery lurched backward. Reverse- there went her little bitty head forward. She would laugh, then look at me. "Wait, was that funny?" Haha, Poor Emery. Laugh, reassurance look, laugh, reassurance look. Just keep repeating. I was so worried that at any point she would bail!

Apparently I worry too much. Emery didn't end up needing a neck brace afterwards and suffered from no injuries. (ex. being thrown from a 6mph moving car)

I need more days like this and I am so excited that fall is upon us! My favorite season for sure! I know that Indiana had such a bummer summer, but I am so ready for the leaves to change and to bundle myself and my girls up in scarves, hats, and coats! (I say this now!)

Regardless, it is amazing of what a beautiful day can do for your spirits... and some very restless children. :)
