Today is Friday. I am home alone with Emery. Instead of going out, watching a movie, or carving a pumpkin- I am incredibly excited to blog.

I found exactly what I have been looking for. A non-purposeful item that will take me where I want to go.

The perfect book.

642 things to write about

I personally could not be more excited. With blogging and my very little existence, I have found that sometimes it is hard to find the right things to blog about. It's very typical to get typers block and what you think may be neat to write about-- really isnt. Its downright boring. So, you scrap it and move on.

I don't want a boring blog.
I don't want to write about nothing really in particular just to have something fresh and new to read.
I want to be somewhat inspiring.
I want to be myself.
I don't want to bullshit.

Sometimes I just want to literally write about nothing.

Nothing? How does that... what?

This book has 642 possible writing ideas from meaningful, personal topics- to downright nutty.

The first intro page to the book explains how this book was created. It was within a day. Emailing friends, coworkers, whoever, just for ideas to make this book happen and a reality.

The author writes:
I tell this story because it's a lesson in hidden potential  You never know what might happen. In a single day, if you hit the right nerve, you could have something-maybe its the start of something, maybe it's the whole thing. And it doesn't have to begin with your own idea. You just have to get creative and plunge in.

It is everything I have been looking for. I want to be inspired, creative, meaningful and downright stupid. And....

all because this book told me to.

I compare writing to the game of golf. You never begin being a pro. It takes practice, skill, study, and oddly enough, the softer the strike, the further the drive. That totally explains my technical skills. Easy going and first, the more I practice and the more I ease into it, the further I will go. So, why not help improve that by writing about other fun and interesting things than than my life?

In writing about my personal life I've discovered that I write like I am conversing with a friend. I truly do love that about my writing style, but sometimes it would be nice to take it up a notch. Be me in my own head kinda thing. With this I can be an astronaut, a 13 year old, a person yelling on a soapbox yelling at passerby's, and even an unfortunate person just hit by lightening. This book has endless possibilities.

Not only do I want to be inspired, but I want my Riddler Readers to be, too. I will chose a topic and please feel free to write along. If you do decide to join in just read the title. Do not read mine right away. Let the creative juices flow for you without any prejudice or preconceived ideas. Let the story roll right on out.

After writing your story, email it to me or comment below with your name and age or nothing at all. You can provide as much or as little information as you want to. I will post the stories on my blog with yours as well. :)

Hopefully you all find this as exciting as I do! I might have 0 do this, I may have 642....

All I know is that I am doing this for me! Whats wrong with a little fun writing anyways?

So with Bud Light in hand and a new found persona....

 Shall we begin?
